The rates for subscribing to Netflix

Netflix's pricing plans now go from four to three. The options available to subscribe to Netflix in Italy are:

  • il Premium plan at 17,99 euros per month

Standard and Premium plans now offer the option to add “extra user slots” at the additional cost of 4,99 euros per month. Possible future increases

It seems that the price increases on the streaming platform are not over. According to the Wall Street Journal, Netflix is ​​planning another price increase, initially in the United States and Canada, with the possibility of extending it to Europe later. The last price increase dates back to 2021, when the Standard and Premium plans increased by one and two euros respectively.

Disney+: stop sharing and rising prices

Also Disney + announced price increases and block password sharing. From November 1st, Disney+ will introduce a new subscription plan in Italy with different options. The standard plan with advertising it will cost 5,99 euros per month and will offer viewing on 2 simultaneous screens without the possibility of an annual version, but without download. The standard plan without ads, with full HD definition, will be priced at 8,99 euros per month (or 89,90 euros per year). There is also a premium plan with definition up to 4K UHD and HDR at 11,99 euros per month (or 119,90 euros per year) which allows viewing on 4 simultaneous screens, download, 4K HDR quality and Dolby Atmos.

Those who already have a Disney+ subscription at the price of 8,99 euros per month (or 89,90 euros per year) can keep it, but it will become "Disney+ premium". Those who do not choose to change plans will switch to the new rate on the first billing after December 6, 2023, for example, if the annual renewal occurs in October 2023, they will switch to the Premium plan in October 2024.

Spotify also increases prices

Music streaming is also not free from increases. Spotify, the most famous and widespread digital music service, recently increased the prices of its subscriptions. The individual Premium subscription has gone from 9,99 euros per month to 10,99 euros, while the Premium Duo (for two people) is now 14,99 euros per month, compared to the previous 12,99 euros. The Premium Family, which allows six people to use the services, has been increased from 15,99 euros to 17,99 euros per month. The Student subscription has also increased by one euro, going from 4,99 euros to 5,99 euros per month.
