Within a Ftse Mib index which is making its way increasingly negative, today's performance by Mediaset appears to be in clear contrast, whose stock is in first place among the blue chips and earns, by mid-afternoon,4,91% at €1,454 per share, with a trading volume of almost 11 million shares.

Indiscretions in the press contribute to pushing the Alfa upwards, reported above all by Il sole 24 Ore, which would like Mediaset close to reaching an agreement with Rtl and Al-Jazeera on pay-TV, a sector in net loss in 2011. According to many analysts, any alliance would be of vital importance for the Milanese company.

Vice President PiErsilvio Berlusconi then spoke of data on advertising revenuesa, which are also expected to be weak in the second quarter, with a decrease compared to 2011 equal to about 10%. Equita SIM should at this point further reduce its estimates for the entire year, lowering them from -7% to -9%.
