Marchionne: "High dividends for Ferrari, distant merger for FCA"

"Ferrari will pay dividends and the pay-out will be quite high”. The president of the Reds said so, Sergio Marchionne, on the day of debut of the Maranello company in Piazza Affari

The manager then excluding Ferrari making acquisitions, while as regards the value of the share "the closing of the market today is not an indication of anything, it takes time".

In general, the Reds “has nothing to do with the automotive industry – added Marchionne –, it's a great force. Ferrari does not suffer from the problems of the auto sector: it will be treated as a luxury stock and the multiples of luxury companies will be applied to it”.

As for fca, "the search for a partner will not close in 2016, even if it will require a lot of attention this year”, continued the CEO of the group, underlining that the operation “is not a sign of weakness for the plan to 2018. This is bullshit. The plan can only benefit from association with another. We want to reach the targets for 2018 because this really creates value for FCA".

Finally, “Melfi is doing great, I share Renzi's optimism for 2016. Let's see how the market will go tomorrow. December was a decent month, good for the North American and European markets, I'm quite satisfied with 2015 and I have no reason to think that 2016 will be any different", concluded Marchionne, confirming the 2018 targets for FCA "even without Ferrari".
