Nextchem acquires control of Hydep and Dragoni Group
Its subsidiary Nextchem today signed a binding agreement for theacquisition of 80% of HyDep and 100% of Dragoni Group, both Italian engineering services companies, well-known in the mechanical and electrochemical sectors, with strong expertise in process design and over 20 years of experience in the engineering sector.green hydrogen, including patents. Mario and Matteo Dragoni, founders and current shareholders of both entities, will retain management of the companies, which will continue to operate independently on their respective markets.

The agreement also includes a clause earn-out based on the achievement of technical objectives within 30 months of closing, as well as put and call options on the remaining 20% share of HyDep exercisable within 36 months of closing. Contract with Eni to produce hydrogen in Livorno
Yesterday the Maire group, through its subsidiary Kinetics technology (Kt), was awarded a contract Energy performance (Epc) from Eni for the construction of a plant for hydrogen production in the Eni refinery in Livorno which will be transformed into biorefinery. The overall value of the contract is 123 million, with the project expected to be completed in 2026, a statement said. The plant, which will be designed and built by Kt, will process natural gas and biogenic raw materials such as food waste such as cooking oils and animal fats, as well as residues from the agri-food industry, for produce hydrogen intended for biofuel production for mobility.
The plant was designed so that a residual carbon dioxide capture unit could be implemented at a later stage.
