The draft integrated mobility between Italo and Uber aims to cover the so-called “first and last mile” of the trip. In practice, passengers can plan the entire route, from home to the station and from the station to the final destination, simply and efficiently.

The initiative will be initially available in the cities of Rome and Milan, covering the main railway stations: Roma Termini, Roma Tiburtina, Milano Centrale, Milano Rogoredo and Milano Rho Fiera.

The partnership with Italo represents a significant step forward in making the journey to and from the stations of Milan and Rome easier, more comfortable and more reliable" he commented Lorenzo Pireddu, general manager of Uber Italy.

How the service will work

The service allows you to book an Uber Black or Van ride up to 90 days before travel and up to one hour before departure, using the function Uber Book. The booking can be made directly from the Italo and Uber apps or websites, guaranteeing a dedicated transfer without having to queue or wait for availability.

Currently, it is possible to book services both through the Italo and Uber apps and websites. In the coming months, the platforms will be fully integrated to offer additional benefits to users.

“An innovative partnership not only from a mobility point of view, but also technologically advanced” he explained Dora Bonadies, network & market development manager at Italo. “The two platforms, in fact, they will communicate with each other, making booking quick and easy for users. Travelers will be able to book from digital channels, without having to enter information such as station and departure or arrival times, with a simple click".
