Italo: 6 connections per day to Sicily

Six connections per day for Sicily. This is the result of theagreement signed by Italo with Blujet, the RFI company (FS Group) which connects Messina, Villa San Giovanni and Reggio Calabria by ship.

From 8 July, Italo informs us in a note, they will be there 6 connections in coincidence: 3 arriving from the North at Villa San Giovanni and then continuing with the fast ship towards Messina and 3 returning to take the Italo train from Villa San Giovanni. In other words, those arriving from the north to Villa San Giovanni by train can continue to Messina with a fast ship and vice versa.

In this Italian way Sicily will be connected to the rest of the network connecting Messina to: Villa San Giovanni, Rosarno, Vibo Pizzo, Lamezia Terme, Paola, Scalea, Maratea, Sapri, Vallo della Lucania, Agropoli Castellabate, Salerno, Naples, Rome, Florence, Bologna, Reggio Emilia, Milan and Turin. Passengers - explains the note - will be able to purchase a single ticket (train + fast ship) directly from the Italo website, which is also valid as a boarding pass for Blujet vehicles.

"The connections guaranteed by Italo and Blujet - the company says - have been designed to cover the entire day and meet the needs of travellers, both the numerous tourists who go to Sicily and the citizens of the island who in this way they can be connected directly to the high-speed market".
