On Monday, January 29, the workers of Italo – Nuovo Transport Passengers will stop for an eight-hour strike, called by the trade unions in order to protest against the company's behavior regarding the renewal of the company contract, which expired at the end of 2014.

Italo strike: the reasons

The strike was called by the unions Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uilt-Uil, Ugl Trasporti and Fast Mobilità which, in a press release, explain the reasons: of the contract within the perimeter of the new Mobility contract, claiming to define one of its own". On the basis of what was explained by the trade unions: “The company contract expired on 31 December 2014. As if this were not enough, the company refuses to pay the workers the expected bonus, due to the excellent financial results, already consolidated and publicly announced from the company".

Italo strike: guaranteed timetables and trains

The strike on Monday 29 January will begin at 10.00 and end at 18.00, for a total of eight hours. In order to limit the inconvenience for travelers as much as possible, the company has published on its website a list of guaranteed trains.
