Highlights include a Dior Haute Couture feather coat, (est. $800-1.200), a Carolina Herrera pink, red and yellow color-block shirt, (est. $800-1.200), and a case of eighteen multi-colored and patterned Iris Apfel X Zenni eyeglass frames (est. $400-600).

An illustrious collector and expert in antique fabrics, Mrs. Apfel began her career as a decorator and during her life was consultant in prestigious restoration projects, even to the White House. With her husband, Carl, she co-founded Old World Weavers, an internationally renowned textile company. In addition to her contributions to fashion, the sale will also honor Ms. Apfel’s passion for interior design, featuring decorative art and objects from her homes in New York City and Palm Beach. Up for sale is a carved ostrich-shaped “Gussy” bar, Italy, circa 1975 (est. $6.000-8.000).
Highlights of the collection will be on display in Florida at Christie's Miami from January 23 to 25 and in Palm Beach, at The Colony Hotel from January 29 to 31. The complete collection will be on display at Christie's New York from February 8 to 13.
