Intesa Sanpaolo promotes the trading system e port in Germany. The aim is to attract foreign investments and support the competitiveness of the country's production system. In detail, the mission of the banking group led by Carlo Messina in Frankfurt is dedicated to the promotion of Italian ports, through the Single Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of the South and the Simplified Logistics Zones (ZLS) of the Center and North.

After last year's initiative which relaunched the valorization of these strategic areas from Naples, the banking institution has raised to The national ceiling is 10 billion euros dedicated to new production facilities, the expansion and modernization of existing ones, and investments in the energy sector in the SEZ and ZLS, as part of the broader 410 billion plan envisaged in support of the PNRR.
Furthermore, Intesa Sanpaolo has already financed in these areas direct and indirect investments for over 5 billion of euros and launched a credit line on favorable terms S-Loan Zes, intended for companies interested in sustainable and energy development within these areas.

The Italian banking institution's support for the Italian port system also includes:
• Advisory specialized in supporting businesses in accessing national and international tenders.
• Products and services to support strategic supply chain agreements with the main logistics chains in the area also through the 'Supply Chain Development Programme'.
• Promotional activities in the area, through the organization - with main logistics companies and port authorities - of physical and virtual events to engage companies/investors and raise customer awareness of the opportunities available, also thanks to the collaboration with SRM - Study Center connected to Intesa Sanpaolo specialized in maritime transport and logistics.
• Collaboration agreements both with all the commissioners of the current SEZs of the South and with the ZLS of the Center and North and the main port authorities, with the aim of encouraging the development of the territories.
The mission, which involved 25 German companies interested in investing in Italy to develop their business, was created with the support of the Frankfurt branch of the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo and in collaboration with VISA, was created thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the Germany, ICE – Agency for attracting investments, SRM – Study Center connected to Intesa Sanpaolo, and Confindustria.
