The aim is to strengthen the production capacity of advanced semiconductor materials, responding to the growing European demand in strategic sectors such asautomotive, 5G / 6G,artificial intelligence and the metaverse.

The investment includes the construction of new plants is preferably used for Cmp sewage production, essential for advanced semiconductors, a market that is growing at a rate of 13% annually. In addition to the new plants, Fujifilm will enhance existing facilities for the production of materials used in photolithography processes. The plant is scheduled to start operating in spring of the 2026.

Chip, why is Fujifilm targeting Europe?

The European market of semiconductors is booming, driven by rising demand for automotive and industrial technology solutions.
