Il Infrastructure pole of the FS group closes a brilliant 2022: with over 25,5 billion new races launched and 15 billion contracts awarded. In a complex year, characterized by the conflict in Ukraine and the consequent increase in the cost of materials but which in any case did not preclude the achievement of the objectives Italian Railway Network e Anas had set themselves, exceeding the tenders launched in 10 by a good 2021 billion euros (+64).
RFI: 283 new tenders in 2022 especially for the South
In particular, RFI has launched on the market 283 new races, exceeding the ceiling of 21 billion for procedures launched in 2022, of which over 10 billion for works in PNRR. As for the contracts awarded instead the quota exceeds 10 billion, of which half in PNRR. In the month of December alone, 46 tenders were published for over 8 billion euro.
Among the tenders launched during the year by RFI, there are numerous those dedicated to projects for the Southern Italy: the 6 tenders for a total of 6 billion in Sicily, which will allow all construction sites to be opened Palermo-Catania-Messina during 2023; the making of is Battipaglia-Romagnano, part of the new High Speed line Salerno-Reggio Calabria, worth over 2,16 billion euros financed with PNRR resources; the new line Ferrandina - Matera La Martella. In the rest of Italy the competitions for the stand out Trento ring road, the passerby and the AV station of the node of Florence, connections with the airports of Bergamo e Venice, the Codogno – Cremona – Mantua and Verona node – Entrance West.
As far as the tenders already awarded are concerned, we find those for the construction throughout the national territory of theERTMS, the supply of over 200 thousand tons of steel for rails, for the doubling of the Termoli-Lesina line, two lots of the Palermo-Catania-Messina line and the construction of the bypass and the high-speed station of the Florence junction.
Anas: 4,6 billion tenders published and awarded in 2022
Excellent results also for Anas: the company closed the year with 4,6 billion euros published tenders and as many awarded. A commitment that saw a great acceleration in the month of December, with 25 calls for tenders published for a total of approximately 1,7 billion euros throughout the national territory. "These are interventions for the upgrading and scheduled maintenance of the network also through new technologies with a view to increasingly raising safety standards, improving efficiency and driving comfort", explains a note from the group.
These include the tenders for the structural plant rehabilitation works of the tunnels in northern Italy for a total value of 130 million euro; for highways A19 "Palermo-Catania" e A29 “Palermo Mazara del Vallo” in Sicily for a total amount of 250 million euros; for extraordinary maintenance work for the structural rehabilitation of works of art (bridges and viaducts) for a total value of 250 million euro; for the production, supply and installation of the new one barrier Anas NDBA for the configurations of traffic reservations and bridge edges for a total value of 150 million euros.
