Enel, through its subsidiary Enel Brasil, has been awarded a 380-year concession for the already operational XNUMX MW Volta Grande hydroelectric plant in southeastern Brazil. The concession, according to a note, was awarded following the public auction 'Leilao de Concessoes nao prorrogadas' organized by the Brazilian federal government through the Brazilian Electricity Agency.
Enel's investment will amount to a total of approximately 1,4 billion Brazilian reals (BRL), equal to approximately 445 million US dollars, for the hydroelectric concession, in line with the provisions of the Group's Strategic Plan. The plant is supported by the thirty-year concession which provides for guaranteed annual revenues from generation.
