Easter and Easter Monday: digital walks to appreciate cultural heritage

The "Art looks like you" campaign is back and many digital initiatives to travel through the Italian cultural heritage

Even if the museums and places of culture are closed to the public, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism offers various digital activities for an Easter and Easter Monday dedicated to art. Virtual tours, video schedules on YouTube and a new social campaign that plays on the similarity between people and portraits in the works of art in Italian museums.

“Another digital initiative by @_MiBACT: art resembles you to remind us of how important it is not to lose contact with Italy's cultural heritage” Minister Dario Franceschini wrote on Twitter.

Art resembles you, the historic MiBACT institutional campaign, is now renewed and is part of the initiatives promoted by the Ministry with the #stayhome campaign. The invitation is therefore to visit places of culture online by scrolling through the social profiles of museums, archives and libraries and browsing through the virtual tours, to find similarities between the works of Italian art collections (people, rooms in one's home and maybe your four-legged friends) and share them on social networks using the hashtag #lartetisomiglia.

The Mibact will relaunch the photos of all those who will participate on its social channels, thus also giving life to a new edition of the ArT you ready campaign, which for almost a month now has been marking the time of art every weekend on the web, involving thousands of users to keep the attention on cultural heritage alive in this difficult moment.

The updated version of the commercial “L'arte resembles you”, which invites everyone to have fun with art in a digital way, is available on the Mibact YouTube channel.
