Doctors, health managers, nurses and healthcare professionals in 24 hour strike against the Meloni Government's maneuver. A day of fire for the Health Service that risks canceling thousands of visits, interventions and services. The memberships, in fact, according to initial information they are massive, “up to peaks of 85% including exemptions provided by law”, declare Pierino Di Silverio, secretary Anaao Assomed, Guido Quici, president of Cimo-Fesmed, and Antonio De Palma, president of the nurses’ union Nursing Up. “An important signal – they write in a note – that should make us reflect on the unacceptable working conditions in hospitals and on sharing the reasons for the protest”.
Doctors and nurses strike underway: 1,2 million services at risk
The 24-hour national strike, which began at midnight, risks causing skip 1,2 million performances: at risk, say the trade unions, are all the services, X-ray examinations (50 thousand), 15 thousand scheduled surgeries and 100 thousand specialist visits.

Reasons for the doctors and nurses' strike
The strike was proclaimed by doctors and health managers of Anaao Assomed and Cimo-Fesmed and by nurses and other health professions of Nursing Up. Numerous other acronyms also joined.
The text of the Budget Law for 2025, the unions claim, "confirms the reduction in healthcare funding compared to what was announced" and the maneuver, they point out, provides for a increase in allowance of medical health specificity of 17 euros net for doctors and 14 euros net for health managers for 2025, 115 euros in 2026 for doctors and zero for health managers, while in the pockets of nurses about 2025 euros would arrive for 7 and about 2026 euros for 80.
