(Teleborsa) – FCA continues to make people talk. The Lingotto stock closed the day in a race in Piazza Affari supported by rumors of interest from the Chinese and by the announcement of a partnership with BMW and Intel for self-driving cars.
But the Chinese actually deny an offer to acquire the group led by Marchionne. This was reported by the Chinese financial newspaper Jingji Guancha Bao which cites the denials of those directly involved, namely Great Wall Motors, Gac, Dongfeng and Geely.
Automotive News, the site specializing in the world of cars, had written over the weekend of Chinese interest in the Italian-American car manufacturer. The CEO of Geely, Guy Shengyue, questioned on the matter, has specified for now "Fiat Chrysler is not in our plans".
However, the sudden rise of the FCA share in Piazza Affari in the last two sessions, especially in that of Monday 14 August, which brought it to an all-time high, demonstrates that something is there.
