Starting Monday, January 20, artists and art workers of all disciplines who have been affected by the fires can visit the website of the Center for Cultural Innovation to apply for an emergency grant. The process was designed with the understanding of the need to provide funds to those affected as quickly as possible. As the situation evolves, the funds raised may eventually be used for long-term needs.
A coalition of leading Los Angeles arts organizations and philanthropies led by the J. Paul Getty Trust, including the Mohn Art Collective (Hammer Museum, LACMA, and MOCA) partnered with East West Bank, today joined by the Mellon Foundation, Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Qatar Museums, Ford Foundation, and other national and international institutions to announce the creation of the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund. The fund will be administered by the Center for Cultural Innovation, a long-standing intermediary that provides funding, advocacy, and research support on behalf of individuals in the arts.

LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund is one of several fundraising initiatives in Los Angeles and across the country, including the artist-initiated GoFundMe Art World Fire Relief LA, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund, the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort to Support Music. Professionals from the Recording Academy and MusiCares, the We Are Moving the Needle: Wildfire Relief Fund microgrants, the Entertainment Community Fund, and the Motion Picture Television Fund.
