Banco Bpm enters the Climate A List 2021 compiled by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), the independent international non-profit organization specialized in environmental reporting and in the evaluation of climate performance and strategies. The bank headed by Giuseppe Castagna was included in the "Leadership" bracket of the annual ranking, passing the rating from B to A-.
The ranking includes the world's leading companies - out of the over 13 analyzed - in the fight against climate change and is drawn up on the basis of information on impacts, risks and opportunities related to the environment, requested by over 590 investors, representing approximately US 110 trillion dollars of managed assets).
With the company rating A-, on a scale ranging from D- to A, Banco Bpm enters the list of companies - around 21% - that have reached the level of leadership at a global level. The result of the banking institution is above the European regional average and above the average of the financial services sector, both certified on the B rating.
In particular - reads a note - the Bank's ability to report on the reduction of its environmental impact and to adopt adequate solutions for strategic planning and management of climate-related risks and opportunities was assessed.
