Banco BPM has completed a transaction of financing from 3,5 million euros against Molise, the historic pasta factory founded in 1912 in Campobasso. The loan, with a duration of 5 years, draws from the "Sustainable Investments 2020-2023" Plafond of 5 billion euro, with which the bank supports companies that intend to make investments related to sustainability.
In particular, explains a note, Molisana has undertaken to use the resources for the implementation of a broad development plan aimed at further improving the energy efficiency of its production processes, with an increase of at least 4% per year of energy self-produced from renewable sources.
"The loan to Molisana confirms our support for those companies with a strong vocation for innovation and committed to pursuing virtuous paths and attention to sustainable issues", commented Giuseppe Boscaino, Head of Central-South Corporate Market of Banco BPM.
Giuseppe Iron, managing director of La Molisana, underlined the company's commitment to ESG issues: “In the first ten years since the acquisition of the pasta factory, we have invested in technology mainly in the production area, reaching high quality standards. Today, even more, we want to calculate, reduce and compensate for our environmental footprint, keeping our brand promises”.
