They go up adhesions to the takeover bid launched by Banca Ifis on Illimity and the credit should go to Andrew Pignataro which, according to rumors, on Wednesday 11 June, would have joined the public purchase and exchange offer, with its 9,49% of the capital. 

Banca Ifis: 21,6% of Illimity's capital subscribed to the takeover bid

On Wednesday, 7.982.056 requests were submitted to join Banca Ifis' takeover bid for Illimity. Overall membership requests have therefore reached 18.152.635 shares, equal to21,59% of the shares subject to the offer. 

The public offering began on May 19, 2025 and will end on June 27, 2025. Borsa Italiana reminds that the ordinary shares of Illimity Bank purchased on the market on June 26 and 27, 2025 cannot be tendered in acceptance of the offer.

Pignataro joins Banca Ifis' takeover bid

Behind yesterday's shot there would be Andrew Pignataro which, according to financial sources, would have brought in adhesion its 9,49% of the capital of Illimity held through FermIon Investment Group.

Pignataro's Yes comes after the adhesion of Banca Sella Holding, another strong shareholder of Illimity with a 10% stake.

Banca Ifis's objective is to achieve 66,7% of Illimity's capital, to then proceed with the merger. A will reiterated last week by the Fürstenberg family, controlling shareholder with 50,64% of Banca Ifis: "We reiterate the validity of the strategic rationale presented to the market", we read in a note confirming that the takeover bid "is guided by an industrial logic capable of expressing significant economies of scale" and that, when fully operational, it will bring "overall annual synergies of 75 million gross".
