Ansaldo Energia, trade unions: the sale of Doosan to the Koreans is close

The negotiation for the sale of Ansaldo Energia to the Koreans of Doosan appears to be at an "advanced stage" - This is supported by the trade unions Fim, Fiom and Uilm in a joint note after the meeting with the top management of the company - The social partners ask "an urgent meeting" with the Government and they threaten mobilizations in all the Group's plants.

The hypothesis of the sale of Ansaldo Energia to the Koreans of Doosan is increasingly advancing. The trade unions Fim, Fiom and Uilm say so in a joint note after the meeting with the top management of the company. The negotiation would be at "a very advanced stage".
Furthermore, there is still 'open' negotiation with foreign groups for the sale of Finmeccanica's railway sector assets, namely Ansaldo Sts and Ansaldo Breda.

According to the social partners, the managing director of Finmeccanica, Alessandro Panso, «recognised» that he does not have «the necessary resources to develop the activities of all the companies». Panso would therefore have opted for the "strategy for the Group decided last June 2011, aimed at concentrating the appropriate resources on the development of sectors considered 'core business', namely: aeronautics, helicopters, defense electronics and space".

At the end of the meeting with the CEO of Finmeccanica, the unions asked for the involvement of the Government through the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, as leader of the possible industrial acquisitions, not only of Ansaldo Energia, but also of Ansaldo Sts and Ansaldo Breda. "Without the answers we are waiting for - said Fim, Fiom and Uilm - we will immediately start the mobilization in all the factories involved of the Finmeccanica Group".
