"Restoration work will begin today," confirmed the company, which is looking for alternative solutions to reactivate services while waiting for the physical infrastructure to be fully restored.

Nexi's intervention: solutions underway but uncertain times

nexi reported that, as of mid-morning, the situation had not yet been resolved by Worldline. The company explained that “Worldline is looking for alternative solutions, but we have no certain information on the resolution timeframe”. The disruptions, for now, only concern the Payment services operated by Worldline, which is solely responsible for the infrastructure. Nexi has stepped up support for partners and customers and continues to monitor the situation.

Bankitalia monitoring

La Bank of Italy is closely monitoring the situation, clarifying that the disruptions are due to “damage to a physical infrastructure”. In collaboration with industry operators and through Codise, the committee that coordinates operational crises in the Italian financial system, work is underway to restore services and make the infrastructure fully operational.
