730 pre-compiled 2018: new assisted compilation

From this year it is possible to add expenses to be deducted or deducted following an assisted procedure: just a couple of clicks on some simplified web page and the taxman's software updates the model automatically.

From this year, anyone who wants to change the precompiled 730 has a new service available. Is called assisted compilation and was designed by the Revenue Agency to help taxpayers who choose the do-it-yourself route rather than the assistance of an intermediary. But let's go in order.

THE TIMES OF THE 730 PRECOMPILED 2018

First of all, it must be borne in mind that we are still in the phase of see but not touch. From April 16 it is possible to access to 730 pre-compiled 2018, but to be able to get our hands on it we will have to wait a little longer. The tax calendar provides that the new tax return can be modified (or accepted as it is) only from next May 2nd. At that point there will be time until July 23 to send the model with any additions to the Revenue Agency.

INTERMEDIARIES AND ADVANTAGES ON CHECKS

Yes, but when the time comes, how are we going to add expenses to be deducted or deducted from the pre-compiled 730 2018? The easiest way is to rely on a Caf or a professional. This choice has a cost, but it also has a significant advantage: in the event of checks, the tax authorities will contact the intermediary directly, who will answer for the errors without involving the person to whom the declaration is made out.

ASSISTED DIY

Alternatively, the taxpayer can modify the 730 pre-compiled 2018 by himself, using - if he wishes - the new assisted compilation method. The service does not concern all data, but only those relating to deductible charges to be indicated in sections I and II of part E ("Charges and expenses"), also for expenses incurred for dependent family members.

Once the 730 pre-compiled 2018 has been accessed, the system asks the taxpayer if he intends to make use of the assisted compilation. If the answer is yes, a guided procedure begins during which the taxpayer indicates the type of expense he wants to add (health, school, university, veterinary or other) and the amount. At that point, the software enters the data directly, thus preventing the taxpayer from going crazy between tables and sections. Not only that: in addition to including expense documents not present in the pre-compiled 730, the service can also be used to modify or delete the data on charges communicated to the tax authorities by third parties (for example pharmacies, doctors, etc.).

Compared to what happened in previous years, in short, now it is no longer necessary to find your way around the boxes of the 730: just a couple of clicks on some simplified web page and the software updates the model automatically.

  1. Hello.
I accessed the 730 pre-compiled 2018, but it doesn't ask me if I intend to use the assisted compilation. It would have been very useful to me. Maybe the service is not active yet?
