20 million euros to support actors, musicians, dancers, circus artists and workers

From a note of the MiBACT they will be allocated 20 million euros to be allocated to actors, singers, dancers, musicians and workers hired by theatres, orchestras and opera-symphonic foundations.
This is the value of two decrees signed by the Minister for cultural assets and activities and for tourism, Dario Franceschini, which allocate a share of 20 million euros of the resources of the entertainment, cinema and audiovisual emergency fund, established by the Cura decree Italy, al support for actors, singers, dancers, musicians, choristers, circus artists and workers, members of the entertainment workers pension fund, holders of contracts with theatres, theater production centres, professional theater companies, theatrical or multidisciplinary festivals, production bodies and centers of dance, lyric-symphonic foundations, traditional theatres, orchestral concert institutions, instrumental ensembles, dance, circus, musical or multidisciplinary festivals, music production organizations or circus companies  for the performance of shows in the period between 23 February and 31 December 2020, not performed due to the containment measures of the health emergency from Covid-19.

"Thanks to the fruitful interlocution with the UNITA association - declares Minister Franceschini - a measure has been developed that intervenes to support artists and theater workers, hit hard by the pandemic, as well as for the world of music, dance and of the circus".
Individuals residing in Italy, with income for 2019 of less than 50.000 euros are eligible for the contribution.
Within five days of the registration of the decree, the Directorate General for Entertainment will publish a notice with the procedures and deadlines for the presentation of applications for contributions, as well as for documentary checks and for the assignment of contributions.
The application, accompanied by copies of the writing contracts or by a pre-contract or a declaration by the employer, must be submitted electronically within 15 days of the publication of the noticefollowing the instructions that will be given there. In the absence of such documentation, other suitable documentation proving the programming of the show, the relative dates and the worker's commitment may be attached.
The resources will be distributed, up to a maximum of 4.000 euros, among all the applicants admitted to the grant, for an amount equal to 100% of the minimum contractual remuneration recognized for the total number of working days envisaged by the unexecuted contracts, net of the days already compensated, according to the provisions of the collective bargaining for the sector, by the employer. The decrees will be sent to the supervisory bodies for registration.
