#100StartupTurismo: Invitalia for innovation in the tourism industry

On 10 April 2017, at the MAXXI Museum in Rome, an appointment with the Minister Dario Franceschini and the CEO of Invitalia Domenico Arcuri in the laboratory
involves 100 startups.

A laboratory involving 100 tourism and cultural and creative industry startups: an entire day dedicated to innovation in the tourism sector to identify the best ideas and actions to make the tourism-cultural supply chain more competitive and encourage new opportunities for collaboration, business growth and employment.

This is the objective of "#100StartupTursimo", the initiative organized by MiBACT - Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and Invitalia, on Monday 10 April 2017 at the MAXXI Museum in Rome.

The event will be attended by Dorina Bianchi, Undersecretary of MiBACT, Dora Di Francesco, Management Authority of the National Operational Program (PON) "Culture and Development" ERDF 2014-2020, Francesco Palumbo, Director General DG Tourism of MiBACT and Domenico Arcuri, Administrator Invitalia delegate.

During the day, the 100 selected startups will meet to discuss 5 thematic tables:

– Synergies between tourism operators and cultural and creative industries: how to innovate business models by integrating heritage, creative production and tourism;

– Slow travel: how to build winning offers and communicate them in an innovative way;

– Environmental sustainability and economic sustainability: requirements for a winning business;

– The complementary offer and the emerging destinations: how to create wealth for the visitor and for the local communities;

– From fruition to the travel experience: how to innovate the mission and business model of traditional tour operators.

During the networking lunch, startuppers will have the opportunity to meet with the main stakeholders in the sector. The result of the activities of the tables will be presented to the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Dario Franceschini who will conclude the works.
